WHY SHEPHERDS?
Why Shepherds?
Grubby, grimy, nomadic
almost homeless
living with sheep.
Why a Hillside?
Shaky, steep, barren
almost inaccessible
hardly living.
Why a Manger?
Foul, fetid, tainted
animal clamor
desperate living.
Why a Star?
Glow, blaze, brilliance
given luminary
living radiance.
Why a Baby?
Sweet, cuddly, joy
surrounded sunbeam
living a new day.
Why such a Gift?
for all of the world
to behold and then
hold unto.
